The countdown to a new school year is on, and District 186 is excited to welcome students, families, staff, and community members to the 2nd Annual Community Back-to-School Event on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

The Community Back-to-School Event serves as a one-stop destination for families preparing for the upcoming school year while strengthening connections between schools, families, and the community.

We apologize for the late notice, but we’ve recently received some awesome news we wanted to share with our Ridgely families!

The Central Illinois Foodbank will be at Ridgely Elementary on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, starting at dismissal to provide free frozen, pre-cooked meals for students and families. Meals include favorites like macaroni and cheese, BBQ chicken, and cheese manicotti.

Present the flyer, ask for a copy of your receipt, and 10% of your food purchase will be donated back to our school. Don’t forget to drop your receipt in the black box near the front doors so Ridgely gets credit.
